What if LEGACY can’t match the commission level and other benefit package I have elsewhere?

  • At LEGACY, our Partner Commission Guarantee is designed to ensure that our agents receive competitive compensation. We promise to match and aim to exceed any commission arrangement that you currently have with another firm. If, in rare instances, we are unable to match or better your existing arrangement, we do not require you to place that business with us under less favorable terms.

    It's important to note that our standard commission structure meets, and most often exceeds, the needs of most agents and agencies without any additional requirements. However, for agents seeking commission levels beyond our standard offering, we may request proof of past production and persistency. This is solely to justify the allocation of higher commission levels and is not a general requirement for joining the LEGACY team.

    We welcome all agents and agencies to join LEGACY, and we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding partnership, irrespective of your past production levels.


I am interested in joining LEGACY but there may be some companies that LEGACY represents that I or my agency may not be able to place with LEGACY. Am I still eligible?

  • Yes, you are still eligible to join LEGACY. We recognize that each agent and agency has unique needs and circumstances. In cases where there are specific carriers that you wish to add to your portfolio but are currently not represented by LEGACY, we are open to discussing these individual requirements.

    Our approach is to work collaboratively with you to understand your specific needs and explore how we can accommodate them within our network. This may include evaluating the addition of individual carrier contracts that align with your or your agency's business objectives.

We strive to support this diversity by offering flexibility in our partnerships and are committed to discussing these matters on a case-by-case basis to ensure that our collaboration is mutually beneficial and aligned with your professional goals.


Is there a comparative field quote available?

  • Yes. We provide all of our agents with a no-cost comparative field quoter that allows you to quote Simple Issue Whole Life and Simple Issue Term along with Med Supps and other health products. You can add a clients health conditions and meds and the quote will return the carriers that cover those issues. There is also links to the carrier eApps for every carrier you choose.

Are there production requirements for participation in the LEGACY Partner Program?

  • No, there are no production requirements to join the LEGACY Partner Program. All insurance professionals are welcome to consolidate their brokerage business with LEGACY and gain access to our standard suite of benefits and bonus opportunities without any minimum production thresholds.

    However, for access to our enhanced and advanced offerings, such as specialized technology solutions, exclusive lead generation services, and advanced clerical support, there are minimum production requirements. These requirements are designed to ensure that our more sophisticated and resource-intensive services are allocated to partners who demonstrate a higher level of engagement and productivity in their collaboration with LEGACY.

    For specific details regarding the production requirements and the different tiers of services and benefits available, we encourage you to reach out to our support team or your dedicated LEGACY representative.


Will the inability to secure a release from another brokerage firm, MGA, or FMO be a sufficient reason for not being able to place business with LEGACY?

  • Although we intend to be flexible and review each relationship on an individual basis, the inability to secure a release will not prevent agents from placing business with LEGACY, with over 30 Life & Annuity carriers available. LEGACY has always had an open release policy and we believe other brokerage firms should as well.

Are agents required to build a team?

  • No. Being a successful independent agent is how we all get started and most choose to keep it that way. While we do help agents, when and if they wish, to build a team it is not required. We would rather you succeed with us first learning our culture as well as the underwriting process before you start recruiting new agents to your team.

Are there Agency Building (MGA) Contracts available?

  • Yes. We look forward to discussing the advantages and benefits for any Agency or group of Agencies with 2 or more Sub-agents that is willing to participate in the LEGACY Partner Program.
